Revisiting the past with fresh eyes, this is an updated edition of the MetroMail - Calendar concept (see [link]) I submitted to DeviantArt over a year ago.

Taking cues from the Metro UI, as well as leaks of the user interface coming in Office 15 and Windows 8, this is a bit of a reformed look at the original concept of Metro applications, adjusting out some elements from the Zune era, as well as taking elements in from the experimenting being done by the team of MetroTwit.

Focused around a cleaner UI, the calendar page of Windows Live Mail would be focused on primairily a calendar style layout, presenting your calendar items throughout the month, as well as allowing for navigation through the right side panel.

Anyone have any thoughts about the UI? Ideas for improvement?

To be honest this would probably be more streamlined and less busy looking if calendar was a separate app.

The only thing is, to an extent, PC applications do more than a phone application, and being a full Mail/Calendar/Newsgroup application serves a users needs better than three seperate applications.

Not if the applications have really great integration, like google's webapps (but I guess that's kinda irrelevant). And speed wise having 3 separate apps would be faster than one big app.

Eh, I'll point you to emClient, an incredibly snappy e-mail client which does everything.

Very good, just think that the settings icons should be on the left corner, next to the Application title (Windows Live Mail...)

Other thoughts, just a shame this isn't the oficial application for Windows, it's just amazing. Nice job man.
