Pointing Towards the Sky

An experiment during my Alaska vacation, I tried to experiment with kind of a perspective shot. Using portrait mode on the camera, I tried to get part of the pole in focus and another part to have kind of a distant look. I kind of like out it came out, though would be open to ideas on how to improve upon this concept.
